Stable slots are not for
Stable slots are not for mounts they are for hunters who keep their pets there. You need to go see the mount trainer / seller which I think is around Brill for Undead.

You will need to travel to silvermoon and visit the first town you come across after the starting area. To buy an mount form another race you need to be exualted with them (max rep) So to get the skeleton horse you need to be chummy with undercity. You will also need to buy the riding skill. you can get this at 30 and 60 now for normal and for the elite mounts.
