WoW Fishing Guide

This Fishing Guide will point you to places where you can fish to get your Cooking and Fishing leveled up at the same time. This of course isn't necessary but in some cases makes the most sense. If you don't want to do Cooking along with your Fishing or already have Cooking maxed I suggest that you head out and fish near the closest Fishing Trainer (so you don't need to go far when you need to train) since you can fish in any water and gain skill ups just the same.

If for some reason you are Fishing because you think it will make you a lot of gold you should probably stop guessing and take a look at this gold guide instead.

If you are going to use this for Cooking also take a look at the recipes you'll need to buy at the end of the guide. Pay attention to when recipes are ready to use and cook up whatever you catch.

Apprentice Fishing

1-100: Raw Brilliant Smallfish and Raw Longjaw Mud Snapper in Elwynn Forest or Eversong Woods

Journeyman Fishing

100-150: Raw Bristle Whisker Catfish in Hillsbrad Foothills

Expert Fishing

150-225: Raw Bristle Whisker Catfish and Raw Mithril Head Trout in Arathi Highlands

Artisan Fishing

If you are going to use this to level cooking too, you'll want to hit up Eastern Plaguelands at 295 Cooking to catch a few Raw Whitescale Salmon to cook until 300.

225-300: Raw Redgill, Raw Sunscale Salmon, and Raw Nightfin Snapper in Western Plaguelands

Master Fishing

300-350: Zangarian Sporefish, Barbed Gil Trout, and Spotted Feltail in Zangarmarsh
350-370: Barbed Gill Trout and Golden Darter in Terokkar Forest

Grand Master Fishing

370-430: Bonescale Snapper, Glacial Salmon, and Fangtooth Herring in Howling Fjord
430-450: Nettlefish in Sholazar Basin
